This privacy policy is valid and effective from January 1, 2021.

FLEXDOG s.r.o., with its registered seat at Mánesova 917/28, Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2, ID No.: 095 29 128, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 337659 (hereinafter the „FLEXDOG“), who is the owner and operator of a website located at www.flexdog.com (hereinafter the „Website“), as a data collector shall collect and process your personal data and undertakes to process your personal data securely, in accordance with all binding regulations and with regard to your privacy, and to truthfully inform you about all means and purposes of personal data collection and processing. 

The valid and effective version of this privacy policy can be found on the Website, including the information of its validity and effectiveness. Both FLEXDOG Privacy Policy and FLEXDOG Cookie Policy are an integral part of FLEXDOG Terms and Conditions on accessing and use of the Website.

Types of Processed Data

FLEXDOG collects and processes personal data provided by you when you visit the Website or when you set up the user account. Your personal data is processed for marketing purposes such as providing you with up to date information about prices, changes in product catalogue, availability, other news and marketing campaigns of both FlexDog and third-party partners. Data processed include:

  • Personal data such as first name, last name, gender, date of birth;
  • Contact information such as an email address, a telephone number;
  • User account information such as username, password, profile picture, product size, followed brands and products;
  • Other data such as the IP address, date and time of the visit to our website, information about your Internet browser or operating system etc. 

You can edit, add or delete the above-mentioned data at any time in your user account. The only required data for setting up the user account are your email address and your login information (username and password). 

By using third-party services (Facebook, Google, Apple ID) to log in to your user account, you also allow FLEXDOG to access public data published on your relevant profile such as email address, date of birth, location data etc.

FLEXDOG does not collect any sensitive personal data such as data regarding your health, ethnicity, religion or world view. 

Why Do We Collect and Process Personal Data

FLEXDOG collects and processes personal data mainly for personalization purposes, in other words, to make your visits to the Website friendlier and more comfortable (for example so you do not have to repeatedly set your size). Personal data and contact information are necessary for setting up your user account and getting notifications for price changes, availability of selected items or publication of new products in the product catalogue from followed brands

By entering your contact information, you give us the opportunity to further modify and develop our services further through the collection of feedback and user rating. At the same time, we have the opportunity to send you customised newsletters and inform you about ongoing FLEXDOG and third-party events, news, new products and products on sale.

Who Has Access to Your Personal Data

Personal data are processed primarily by FLEXDOG employees. All FLEXDOG employees are bound by confidentiality, which lasts even after the termination of employment.

FLEXDOG, as the data controller, may entrust the data processing to a data processor, who is a third party and processes personal data on behalf of the data controller. The data controller determines the purposes for which and the means by which personal data is processed. FLEXDOG entrusts data to data processors only to the extent strictly necessary.

The data processor can be, for example, providers of IT services or operators of analytical software that we use for marketing, customer care and other purposes.

Personal Data Security

Personal data security is our priority. We have adopted adequate technical and organisational measures in order to prevent unauthorised access and misuse of your personal data. The processing of personal data is in full compliance with all binding regulations, including Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation). Personal data are stored only for a duration of a valid lawful purpose for their storage and the duration for which it is permitted or required by all binding regulations. This means that your personal data will be stored for the duration of the existence of your user account or, in the case of personal data obtained through cookies, for the duration of your consent to their use.

Individual rights

According to the currently valid legislation, you have the following rights to the processing of personal data:

1/ information about the processing of your personal data. FLEXDOG is required to providethe information in relation to the processing of personal data relating to an individual at the time of collection of such data within a reasonable period.

2/ obtain access to the personal data held about you; FLEXDOG is required to providepersonal information, which the individual might have communicated, in order to enable him to verify the processing of such data. 

3/ ask for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected; the individual is allowed to receive his personal data for the purpose of rectification of inaccurate or incomplete details.

4/ request that personal data be erased when it’s no longer needed or if processing it is unlawful;The individual is allowed to get his personal data erased and no longer processed where such data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed or where he has withdrawn his consent in regard to the processing of the same.

5/ object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or on grounds relating to your particular situation;The individual is allowed to object the processing of his personal data, on grounds relating to his particular situation upon which no further processing of such data shall take place unless there are compelling legitimate grounds necessitating such processing in furtherance of public interest or exercise of official duty.

6/ request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in specific cases; The individual is allowed torestrict processing of his personal information where the accuracy of such data is contested, the processing is unlawful and opposed by the individual, the data is no longer required or the individual has objected.

7/ receive your personal data in a machine-readable format and send it to another controller (‘data portability’); Where the processing of personal data, provided by an individual with his consent, is carried out by automated means, the individual is allowed to receive such data.

FLEXDOG is required to respond to your request without undue delay and at the latest within 1 month.If FLEXDOG cannot comply with your request it is required to state the reason why. You may be asked to provide information to confirm your identity (such as clicking a verification link, entering a username or password) in order to exercise your rights.

If you believe that your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you are entitled to lodge a complaint at the Office for Personal Data Protection. However, we will appreciate it if you address us first and we can try to resolve your concerns.
