It’s not the first time that the world-renowned graffiti artist Futura has collaborated with Nike. He has previously infused the brand’s Dunk sneakers with his creative vision and vibrant colours, and now he’s back at it again! Futura Laboratories once again collaborated with Nike SB and once again, they created a sneaker that seamlessly blends artistry and streetwear. The Futura x Nike SB Dunk Low is set to release in May 2024, and anticipation is already high! The sneakers will be available in two colorways: one featuring shades of blue, and the other boasting warmer, even more colourful hues.
Sneakerheads have been eagerly following news of the first colorway for months, while the latter was only recently introduced on Futura Laboratories' Instagram. The blue pair is set to receive a retail release, available at Futura Laboratories, Nike SNKRS, and select Nike SB-affiliated skate shops. However, the fate of the showcased version remains uncertain, as it may be reserved exclusively for 'friends and family.'

The appearance of the Futura Laboratories x Nike SB Dunk Low is truly unique and hard to put into words, drawing visible inspiration from Futura’s graffiti artworks. Abstract patterns and vivid colours cover the overlays, showing bold creativity synonymous with Futura's artistry. Each colorway is mesh based and adorned with Futura's distinctive signature, featured on the tongue and heel.
In the blue-based iteration, significant details emerge, such as the "FL" sign on the medial heel, marking the collaboration with Futura Laboratories. The reflective NIKE branding on the heel tab adds an eye-catching touch, while the inclusion of dual-colour shoelaces and pops of purple accents elevate the design further.
The crisp white midsole and contrasting blue outsole, alongside the complementary blue inner lining, harmoniously bring the entire aesthetic together. Meanwhile, in the alternate colorway, the colourful pattern extends beyond the overlays, covering more of the shoes in Futura's dynamic vision.
