Sazka Kickz: How To Get the First Lottery Sneakers
The Czech company Sazka is primarily connected with operating lotteries and betting games. In this business it holds the strongest position on the Czech market. Although this year they've decided to make an unpredictable move and shock the community by entering the sneaker world. How does a lottery company get involved in the footwear industry, when is the release and what can you expect? Let's explore it together!
Established in 1956, Sazka has grown to become one of the largest providers of lotteries and betting games not only in the Czech Republic but also in other countries. Its services include traditional lotteries, online betting, and various gaming options. Besides these activities, Sazka also engages in charitable initiatives and supports projects for the benefit of society. However, we know all this is not why you clicked on this article featured in our magazine. You are curious about their own sneaker release aren't you?
WHAT AND HOW?
2 brands, 200 original pairs and only two ways to get them. Sazka has teamed up with Czech brand @carrynaut to design their very first pair of - what we can call - “lottery sneakers”. Why lottery? Well, firstly, they're obviously released under the name of a betting company. Secondly, it's the most fashionable lottery ticket that's ever been made. We've seen the tear-away AF1 sneakers from Nike but this is a different jam. You can just scratch off the Sazka Kickz' silver ECO upper and reveal the colourful pattern which lays down under. Just like the ticket.
For the scratching, there's a sophisticated system designed that comes with the pair. A metal buckle on the laces. Moreover, the Sazka Kickz are handmade from used Rentiér lottery tickets and apple leather. You can see the lottery ticket pieces in the translucent sole. They are limited, original and upcycled. All materials used were chosen with nature and sustainability in mind.
RELEASE DATE
These sneakers are not for sale freely. Usually you can easily access new releases in our release calendar but these you can only get as a gift or win them in a contest on IG and at the event in Chapter, which will take place on April 25th at 6pm. All communication about the drop as well as further event details takes place on a separate IG profile @sazkakickz.
Get ready for a party that will be held in Holešovice in the Chapter space, an event where it will be possible to win these sneakers. Apart from that, there will also be lots of good food, drinks and entertainment. See you on Thursday , April 25th at 6pm!
